Iron doors vs. security doors

An iron door is a finished entry door that replaces the original. A security door is a separate, secondary door that adds protection in front of an existing entry door.

Frequently asked

Will the iron rust in Las Vegas weather?

The frames and leaves are powder-coated; properly maintained, they hold up for decades in desert conditions.

Can I open the glass for airflow?

Yes. Operable iron-framed glass panels are standard on most designs.

How heavy are they, and will my opening support it?

Iron doors are heavier than fiberglass; we install with reinforced hinges and a steel jamb sized for the load.
